The Alliance on Infectious Diseases in Africa (AIDA) is guided by a leadership team committed to advancing prevention-focused public health initiatives, healthcare access, education, research, and community development.

Udoka Nweke
President & Chief Executive Officer
Udoka Nweke serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance on Infectious Diseases in Africa (AIDA), providing strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s mission and long-term vision.
His work focuses on advancing infectious disease prevention, healthcare education, medical research, affordable housing initiatives in the United States, and access to quality healthcare services across Africa.
Mr. Nweke leads initiatives that strengthen healthcare systems, promote disease awareness, and support partnerships with healthcare professionals, governments, nonprofit organizations, and international stakeholders.
His vision is centered on building healthier, safer, and more resilient communities through prevention, education, and sustainable community investment.
Joseph Komolafe
Executive Secretary
Joseph Komolafe serves as Executive Secretary of AIDA and supports the organization’s governance, administrative coordination, and operational communication.
He plays an important role in maintaining organizational records, supporting Board activities, and helping ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Through his commitment to transparency, accountability, and organizational excellence, Mr. Komolafe helps strengthen AIDA’s ability to advance its mission and long-term strategic goals.
Kenneth Ihiaso
Treasurer
Kenneth Ihiaso serves as Treasurer of AIDA and oversees financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and fiscal accountability for the organization.
Working closely with the Board of Directors, he helps ensure that organizational resources are managed responsibly and aligned with AIDA’s mission, programs, and long-term initiatives.
His focus on financial stewardship supports AIDA’s work in infectious disease prevention, healthcare education, community outreach, research initiatives, and capacity-building programs across Africa.
